Pentaho Corporation, the commercial open source alternative for business intelligence (BI), today announced an expansion in its unlimited-deployment offering for prospective partners including SaaS companies, OEMs, and other distributors. Originally introduced as part of Pentaho Reporting Embedded Edition in August of this year, the company is now offering similar terms for its other products as well as its entire BI suite.

“We’ve always had strong technology and a great open source development model for OEMs,” said Richard Daley, CEO of Pentaho Corporation. “We’ve simplified and streamlined our distribution terms so that it’s now a ‘no-brainer’ to embed Pentaho BI for both technical and business reasons.”

Integrated business intelligence has become an expected part of almost every enterprise application. Pentaho’s Embedded Edition packaging offers OEMs, SaaS providers and distributors unlimited distribution of any of Pentaho’s products for reporting, analysis, data integration, data mining, as well as Pentaho’s entire BI suite. The offer eliminates the complexity of royalty payments, per user, per server, or other charges and replaces them with a flat annual subscription fee for the named application that allows partners to distribute Pentaho’s technology with the full support of the commercial open source BI leader.

Pentaho is also offering special pricing for startup companies so that the next wave of SaaS and enterprise application companies can get started with the industry’s best embedded BI from their first release.
